{Gluten Free} Fudge Brownies

Have you ever had a dessert that was just amazing and tasted like a normal brownie, but it was gluten-free? And it’s main ingredient was….black beans? Well, back a few years ago my good friend (and now sister-in-law!) shared her black bean brownie recipe with me. I am so thankful she did!

Fudge Brownies

You would never know these brownies had black beans in them….they’re fudgy, slightly sweet and definitely chocolatey! Even my gluten-loving husband likes these brownies! 🙂

Ingredients:
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
3 Eggs
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla
2 Cups Canned Black Beans, Drained & Rinsed Well
Pinch of Salt

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350˚F and spray a 8×8 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Process black beans in a food processor until smooth. Add eggs, oil, cocoa, sugar, salt, vanilla and baking powder. Process again until very smooth. Add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and pulse just a few times. Pour batter into the baking dish and top with remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely, and then cut and serve. These are wonderful with vanilla ice cream!

Fudgy Brownies

I hope you enjoy them!

Sincerely,
Hannah Diane

  1. Wow, these look incredible. I love making brownies, but these look like ones I should try instead of my recipe. They look so good! I love that they are GF too – so many people I know are GF and I could make these as treats!

  2. I’ve been intrigued by baking with black beans. I haven’t yet done it because it seems slightly strange, but now that I’m GF I probably need to just go for it!

  3. I love your blog, your posts are beautiful! I just followed you, it would be great if we can support each other 🙂 I am so glad I got to discover you ❤
