Today I want to share with y’all 5 of my favorite healthy snack ideas….

Apples and PB

Apple slices sprinkled with cinnamon, and a spoonful of peanut butter? Yes, please! So yummy and filling.

Fruit

A handful of fruit is a wonderful pick-me-up for an afternoon slump or if you’re craving sweets. Yum!

Trail Mix

My trail mix is a great on-the-go snack!

Fruit and Nuts

A mixture of fruit and nuts are a perfect combo!

Avocado

I never used to like avocados. Like, ever. But I seriously eat my weight in them (if I’m craving them). They’re also great to make guacamole and eat it with carrots. Yum!

“Hard Core” Workout

Happy Friday!! Lately I’ve been trying to find a really good core and arm workout that I don’t have to do on my back to accommodate my growing belly (almost 17 weeks along!). So, I decided to come up with my own. Prepared to have tired arms and shoulders after this!

Chocolate Strawberry Shake

Happy Tuesday! Today in the South is so.stinking.cold. Like, I hate it. All I want to do is stay under the covers and read. But, as a grown up, that really can’t happen.

Last week I put together a chocolate & strawberry protein shake and it is SO good. I want to share it with you today. It’s so easy to make!

Chocolate Strawberry Shake


Ingredients:
Chocolate protein powder
1-2 handfuls of strawberries
1 1/2 cups of milk

Directions:
Blend all together in a blender or bullet and enjoy!

Yum! Perfect for breakfast or after your workout!

Fitness Friday III

Happy, happy Friday, people! Who is ready for this weekend? {raises both hands}

Saturday- Today I was a wedding director- no official workout– but LOTS of walking

Sunday- Rest day

Monday- My 60 Workout

Tuesday- Tone It Up‘s Love Your Body-Kettlebells and HIIT {PM} 2 miles walk with hand weights

Wednesday-  Tone It Up‘s Love Your Body- Abs & Arms {PM} 3.5 mile walk

Thursday- Tone It Up‘s Love Your Body- Abs & Arms and Legs & Booty {PM} 1.5 miles on the treadmill

Friday- Jillian Micheals’ Kickboxing holding 5lb weights and Tony Horton’s P90x Ab Ripper x

What did you do this week for workouts? I enjoyed some warmer days to get outside and walk! Also, after all the workouts this week- I was sore! So….Copaiba & Deep Relief to the rescue!

BINGE Eating & Healthy Eating Options

Happy Thursday, people! Who else is freezing to death?!? When I woke up at 5 this morning, it was 3* in the sunny south. Now that the sun is up, it’s warmed up to 10*. Brrrrrr…..

Today I want to show y’all some things I’ve found on Pinterest lately. It’s about binge eating….and I’m finding that’s an area where I struggle.

Binge Eating

I think every one of us have binged at one time or another. But do you do it on a regular basis? Keep a food diary and find a trigger- and do something about it, instead of giving in.

My big thing not only is getting the BAD stuff OUT, it’s keeping the good stuff around. If I don’t have good stuff to snack on, I tend to just graze, instead of eating meals and healthy snacks. Here are some great snack options…

2015 Goals! {and word}

Hey, hey! So….I finally made the first “draft” of my 2015 goals! I make my goals, then evaluate them half way through the year. To get myself back on track, add things, see where I’ve improved, ect.

I don’t know about you, but I love a fresh start. And I love that about the first of the year. A fresh start. A clean slate. And I want to make the best of it!

2015 is going to come with surprises, challenges, trials and joy. How do I know that? Because every year has those things, and I just look forward to see what God does in our lives this year!

Now…on to my goals. I try to divide my goals up into different sections.

Goals 2015

HEALTH

-Eat clean 80% of the time {2 cheat things a week}
-Oil pull 3-4 times a week
-Detox soak 5-6 times a week
-Workout 5-6 days a week
-Run twice a week

BLOGGING

-Have 800 followers on Facebook
-Have 500 followers on Instagram
-double my readers
– post 3-5 days a week
-have guest bloggers each month
-guest blog 2 times a month
-stay organized!
-have more giveaways!

PERSONAL 

-purge a different room in the house once a month
-read more
-write in a journal at least once a week
-write in “thankful journal” every night
-meal plan and grocery shop twice a month (instead of 4 times)
-make freezer meals
-mail at least two encouraging notes to friends/family a week
-give to friends & family

FAITH

-read Bible & write notes in a journal daily
-write out the Psalms, Proverbs and James this year
-memorize 25 Bible verses
-cultivate thankfulness
-grow closer to the Lord

AMEERA
(my horse I’m training)

-work with her 4-5 days a week
-ride 2-3 days a week
-field riding by summer
-perfect our at-liberty work

My Word for 2015

Now, I’ve done this for a few years now but I have a word for 2015. My word is intentional. I love this word. It kept coming back to me for the past couple days and I’ve decided to use it. I want to be intentional in everything I do this year. The word reminds me I have a choice in how I handle everything. And to live in each moment.
